Shipment Tracking

What is CAP?

CAP stands for Car Arrival Progress— Tokyo Motors Japan's real-time shipment tracking system that lets you follow your vehicle from the moment it's booked until it clears customs at your destination port.

How to Track Your Vehicle

You can track your shipment using either of the following reference numbers:

  • Booking Number — provided in your invoice after payment is confirmed (format: TMJ-2025-XXXXX).
  • Reference Number — the stock ID from the vehicle listing page (format: TM-XXXXXXX).

Navigate to My Account → CAP Tracking or use the Track Shipment search bar at the top of any page. Updates are refreshed every 24 hours.

Tracking Stages

Stage 1Booked

Your vehicle booking is confirmed and assigned a CAP tracking reference number.

Stage 2Loaded

The vehicle has been loaded onto the export vessel at the Japanese origin port.

Stage 3In Transit

The vessel is at sea, en route to your destination port.

Stage 4Arrived

The vessel has docked at your destination port and discharge is underway.

Stage 5Cleared

Customs clearance is complete and the vehicle is ready for collection.
